We feed in this local. We have just started here in October. We were only able to help a Pastor with seven children for a month and to do a One Time Special Feed.
This area can use millions of meals by itself. The population is estimated at around 300,000. This place is built on a past city dump.
For now we are asking for YOUR HELP to establish a regular feeding program in this area. We can base it on a One Time Special Feed Day one day each weekend to FEED 200.
A FEED TWO HUNDRED PROGRAM (200) - IS BASED ON the Kids Agaisnt Hunger Box. The KAH Box feeds 216 servings. The cost for the bulk materials, plastic bags and box cost is $54.00 - thats 25 cents per serving. The cost to have this food delivered to Port au Prince is $11.00. So for a donation of $65.00 we can buy the bulk, package with volunteer help, box, ship, deliver to this area and cook with volunteers in Port au Prince HAiti 200-216 children that live in these conditions. As an experienced traveler to haiti for the last since 2003 making multiple trips a year and traveling under all condition through dangerous environments and times I can assure you this water is polluted. it is toilet water. If it is a fesh rain then the toilet smell will not be as strong - nevertheless it is full of disease. The K.A.H. food will help them resist the sickness' & disease's that I think you can understand are aparent in this neighborhood - called a 'zone' in Haiti.
Will you donate $65.00 a month to take care of one weekend feeding a month? If we can find 4 people to do that we can come for these children every weekend for a special nutritional meal. If you want to do more - great.
Many churches spend $350.00 - $450.00 a month towards a mission work. Why not make this feeding program your mission work. We also have like a little sunday school with the kids while they are waiting for the cooking to be done.
Another thing we are working toward is handling some of the schools of children and some of the churches children. We have alot of experience working with many churches. At one time we had 35 churches we worked with but we just could not handle the extreme needs and had to refine through a procees the amount of places we could help. Many are waiting for the Lord to tap someone on the shoulder and tell them to help. On average it seems around 50 children in these churches and around the same in the schools of learning in these churches.
To feed this average amount of children of 50 and to feed them four days a week could still be done for that $54.00 a box that feeds 216 servings and $11.00 shipping. We do count bags and manage the feeding program so when one is a little less we adjust so then we have the balance for the one thats a little more - it works out.
Woould you like to sponsor a elementaryschool/church feed program and donate a box a month to feed 50 children for 4 days week at $65.00 or maybe as a group program to feed the children four days a week for four (4) weeks for $260.00 or 4.3 weeks $279.50. Maybe you can make it $300.00 or $350.00, $400.00 or even $450.00 a month to feed as many as we can.
You maybe can only sponsor one child for a month (30 days of food - we pick especially malnourished for this type ) for the food costs of $7.50 - with shipping at $10.00 a month. Feed four children a month for $30.00 food costs. If you can include the shipping costs also tuck in $40.00 - if you can manage only $35.00 we will make it work. With everyone working together we will make it work and get nthese kids fed...

we are editing programming and this has become a priority for 2009. This will be the first year I do not leave for haiti right after Christmas and spend the end of the year, new years eve, and new years inside haiti. Last year New Years eve and New Years we spent in the mountains of haiti a place called Fond Alezan. We ministered into the midnight hour as the haitians danced so much the dust rose from the dirt and then in the cold mountain air sat down to watch the Jesus Film in creole into the early morning hours. Then asked us to saty and we did the same the next night also. There were hundreds of people who came. We never can figure where everyone comes from in these mountains - but we see it time and again.
